Our Nursing Assistants provide a blood taking service from 8.00 – 11.30am Monday to Friday.
This service is by appointment for routine blood tests. If you are asked to FAST before a blood test, please tell reception so they can give you an early appointment. Please book in at reception on arrival. Your doctor may request an ‘on the day’ blood test and we will do our best to offer you an appointment, although you may experience a delay if demand is high and there could be a waiting time.
We have recently reviewed our blood taking services at Danetre Medical Practice and as a result have decided we will only accept blood-taking forms from Northampton General Hospital.
Should you require a blood sample which has been requested by another hospital, you will need to attend the blood-taking unit of the specific hospital requesting the test for your sample to be taken.
We have made this descions to to ensure continuity and the safety of the results for both you as the patient and us as a service user.
