WE NEED YOU!

We are looking for a diverse range of patients to help positively shape the practice's future by joining our Virtual Patient Participation Group.

We are looking for patients from all walks of life, with a wealth of different experiences to help us to understand YOUR needs. If you or someone you know is interested in getting involved and helping to provide regular feedback, and support to the practice, we want to hear from you. We also hope to help patients better understand the NHS and and Primary Care including how best to access the right care at the right time.

We are looking for patients from 18+ from all genders. We are also looking for patients with different physical disabilities and learning disabilities to help us to better understand your unique experiences when contacting or attending the practice and what we can do to support this.

We are aiming for the group to meet approximately every 2-3 months using Microsoft Teams. Meetings will usually be held later in the day/early evening to give as many people as possible the opportunity to get involved.

If you are interested please contact the practice at danetremedical.practice@nhs.net or ask at reception for a contact form. Our Patient Services Manager Karen will then be in touch with further information.

Patient Participation Group

Danetre Medical Practice Virtual Patient Participation Group (PPG) is comprised of a group of volunteers, all of whom are registered patients at the practice, who come together every three months to discuss ideas and suggestions for possible improvements and / or changes to the surgery and practice for the benefit of all. The group also discusses ways to positively promote the practice and its available services and clinics as well as becoming involved in assisting with practice campaigns and events. The group’s main objectives are:

  • To look at ways to improve services in order to benefit the patients of the practice
  • To become involved in promoting the practice and its services in a positive, constructive and effective manner
  • To assist the practice in recognising both positive and negative patient feedback and discussing proposals in order to implement any agreed changes and how they could be made
  • To assist patients in making suggestions as to how to further improve and promote existing services as well as putting forward new ideas
  • To be a positive “voice” by representing patients and their families

If you wish to join please contact us on: danetre.medicalpractice@nhs.net, quoting PPG in the subject line.
